Hair and Spring

Temperatures are rising, all heavy coats are going back to the closet, and the sun is starting to show up again… spring is right around the corner, and apart from beautiful flowers, it also brings us some new trends in the hair community… Let’s see what’s hot this season:

Trends

Copper Red
  • It’s all about the red hair! Copper red and its shades are all in this spring. It’s young, fun, and it matches almost everyone, you just have to pick the right tone.
Ringlight Balayage
  • This balayage technique creates a light face-framing highlight, that has no harsh lines on the roots, so it runs smoothly. And because of that, it’s easy to maintain.

Bombshell Blondes
  • Low-maintenance shades of blonde are definitely a hit this season. Think of pale shades like “almond milk”, something smooth, with less contrast which allow a longer period in between retouches.

Pastel colors
  • Light pink and purple? Yes, please! These two pastel shades are having a big moment this spring. If you’re not ready to go full on fantasy colors, how about combining two trends and going for a pastel purple ringlight balayage?

Bangs
  • Yep, bangs are coming in hot this season, especially the side swept fringe. It’s relatively easy to style and goes with basically everyone, since is tends to lengthen the face.

Hair Care:

  • Hydration is always important. Our hair, just like us, feels the season changes, so keep your hair moisturized (don’t know how? Let me help: Moi Moi Mosturizing Mist). Oh, and remember to drink plenty of water as well – health comes from within.
  • With the temperatures rising, our bodies – and heads – starts to sweat more. It’s time to wash your hair more regularly than you did in winter, to avoid that sweat from staying too long on your scalp, which could lead to problems such as dandruff.
  • Going for a picknick at the park? Hair sunscreen is your friend. If you don’t have one, how about wearing a hat? Not only will it protect your hair and scalp from the UV lights, but it will also make you look amazing.
  • It’s time to avoid using heat sources like hairdryer and straightener/curling iron. We all know that too much heat can damage our hair, and after those long, cold winter months without being able to let your hair dry out naturally, now it’s the time.
Now tell me, did you enjoy these new trends for the spring? Are you going to try any of them? With love, Eliana Martt
